Welcome to the Ecology and Animal Behaviour lab at the University of Auckland, part of the Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour research group in the School of Biological Sciences. The lab is home to Dr Stuart Parsons and Dr Mark Hauber. In the lab, we carry out a variety of research on the ecology and behaviour of animals including bioacoustics of birds and bats, translocation of endangered bats to offshore island reserves, neuroethology of hearing in native insects, behavioural ecology of ganets, and brood parasitism.

Please take some time to explore the web site to see what other research is being carried out. If you have any questions, or are interested in working in the lab, please e-mail either Dr Parsons or Dr Hauber.
