Welcome to the Parsons lab at the University of Auckland, part of the Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour research group in the School of Biological Sciences. We are also part of the Joint Graduate School in Biodiversity and Biosecurity.
In the lab, we carry out a variety of research on the ecology and behaviour of animals including bioacoustics, translocation to offshore island reserves, neuroethology of hearing in native insects, and the behavioural ecology of birds.
Potential graduate students are invited to explore our projects page, or to simply suggets their own topic. Dr Parsons can then work with them to develop a full proposal.
Please take some time to explore the web site to see what other research is being carried out. If you have any questions, or are interested in working in the lab, please e-mail Dr Parsons.
Ornithological Society Annula Conference is hapening in Tauranga this June. Details here.
